Does my audio get uploaded anywhere?
It depends which way you build the reel, and the difference is deliberate. If you pick your own breaks, nothing is uploaded at all — the recording is decoded and analyzed in your browser and never leaves your machine. If you let Riano choose, the talk breaks are sent to be transcribed, because reading them is how it chooses; the music is never sent, and nothing is kept once the reel comes back.
What does the aircheck editor cost?
Nothing, and it is going to stay that way. It is free with no account, no watermark and no cap.
What does a lyric video cost?
Nothing, unless you want the logo off. Making it, downloading it and posting it anywhere you like are all free; the free video carries a small riano.studio logo in the corner, and that is the only difference. To take the logo off, it is $5 for one video or $12 for three, paid once, with no account and no subscription.
How does it know which voice is mine?
It listens for every voice in the recording, singers included, and gives each three seconds of voice a fingerprint. The host is the voice that keeps coming back across the whole show, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to record first.
What files does it take?
Whatever your browser can decode — MP3, WAV, M4A and most logger output. You can drop several files at once and it treats them as one body of material.
How long can the recording be?
Up to two hours per file. A whole shift is the normal case.
Can I help make it better?
There is an optional tickbox next to the save button on the aircheck editor. Tick it and, when you download a reel, Riano sends the edit decisions: which breaks you kept, and how far you moved each start and end from where it put them. No audio, no transcript, no file names, and nothing that identifies you or your station — a few hundred numbers. It is off unless you tick it, and it is the only thing that teaches Riano where a break really begins.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-in. You open the tool and use it.
Will it work on a phone?
It runs, but a four-hour file and a phone are a bad match. Use a laptop or desktop for anything long.
Are there any limits?
On the video editor, yes, because it runs a paid AI model on every job: up to sixty shots, twenty minutes of footage and five minutes of finished video per project, and ten projects an hour. The aircheck editor when you pick your own breaks has no limits at all, because it never sends anything anywhere — it runs entirely in your browser.
